Vape Review: Wismec EXO Skeleton ES300 TC Starter Kit

Hey, Everyone!

I’m a couple weeks late to the party on this one, and for that I apologize. The Wismec EXO Skeleton ES300 TC Starter Kit came out at the start of this month — and I got mine then! — but then I was sick and couldn’t do reviews for a while. Sorry about that.

First of all, I got this mod at a discount from the lovely Element Vape. Feel free to check them out. That’s not an affiliate link, and I won’t get ANY kick back if you decide to buy from them. (Though, if you DO want to contribute to Lauren Vapes, feel free to check out my Patreon *hint hint*).

But enough about money stuff. Let’s talk about this vape mod!

As you can see, it LOOKS pretty darn cool, right?

One of the coolest things about the EXO Skeleton is that you can see all of its components. Here’s a pic of my roommate showing it off: Continue reading “Vape Review: Wismec EXO Skeleton ES300 TC Starter Kit”

Vape Tank Review: Sense Blazer 200

Hi, Everyone!

Those of you who have been reading my reviews of “starter kit” mods know that most of my complaints are about the tanks they come with. I’m very picky about tanks.

To me, a good tank has to have a sturdy construction, hold a lot of juice, deliver good flavor AND vapor production, and be easy to refill.

Joey, the owner of Caught the Vapors in Burbank, said that the new tank he’s stocking met ALL of my requirements — and he gave me one to test out. (Thanks, Joey!!).

The tank in question? The Blazer 200 by Sense.

I’m very familiar with Sense products. I had a few of their various Herakles models and loved them. But I cast them aside once Smok’s Baby Beast came out — because you just can’t beat that swivel-top filling mechanism! Or can you…?

I believe you can. And, furthermore, I believe Sense has done it. Ladies and Gentlemen: I think THIS is the new winner for “best tank on the market” for 2017. Continue reading “Vape Tank Review: Sense Blazer 200”

Spotlight On: My Freedom Smokes

Hey, Everyone!

Recently, I took an interest in an online vape shop called My Freedom Smokes over at myfreedomsmokes.com. The name really caught my eye… My FREEDOM Smokes. That really registered with me.

Also, the fact that My Freedom Smokes was founded in 2008, whereas most of the shops here in the United States were founded much later, also intrigued me. I’m actually trying to get ahold of their founder, Chris Yelton, in order to interview him, because, clearly, he had a lot of foresight when he created MFS and I’d love to hear his story (so if any of you know how to get through to him, let me know — thus far my e-mails to their various addresses online about this have gone unanswered).

I was also very interested in the fact that they not only sell the usual brands — Smok, Joytech, Aspire, etc. — but they create their OWN products as well… I thought that was really nifty, and it inspired me to get some of their “premiere” products in order to do a “Spotlight” review on their stuff.

I received:

  • A t-shirt
  • A vape band/tank protector.
  • 30mL of juice
  • A disposable e-cig

And the stuff arrived VERY quickly, and they updated me with shipping info as it progressed (sent, on the way, delivered). That was great. And their age verification process and everything was easy to get through and not a pain at all. All wonderful things, and what you’d expect from a good online vape shop.

But how were their products? Continue reading “Spotlight On: My Freedom Smokes”

My First RDA: Pros and Cons

Hey, Everyone!

Last week, I got my first RDA from vapes.com. It’s the Freakshow RDA atomizer by Wotofo.

It’s a solidly-built RDA with three posts and adjustable bottom airflow. It’s pretty nice. Gotta love that cute skelly on the side (made all the better by my glow-in-the-dark skull drip tip).

I’d always used tanks before, so this was quite a new experience for me. And I’d like to give a shoutout to TJ over at Caught the Vapors for taking the time to train me how to build, and for letting me use his tools as I learned.

So what’s the big deal about RDAs anyway?

I’ve been vaping for quite a while now, but, as I said, this was my very first RDA. These are my impressions as someone completely new to rebuildable atomizers.  Continue reading “My First RDA: Pros and Cons”

Vape Review: Eleaf iCare 160 All in One

Eleaf iCare 160Hey, Everyone!

Well… The time has come. My first NEGATIVE review of a product. We all knew this day would come eventually.

First of all, I want to tank the lovely VaporDNA for selling me this product at a discount. Great store! This negative review has nothing to do with them, their service, or any of the other products they sell (I actually have a very positive review of another mod I got from them coming soon!). They’re great and I’d definitely purchase from them again. It’s not their fault that THIS particular product sucks butt.

So why, exactly, does the Eleaf iCare 160 All in One “suck butt?” I’ll get into that in a moment. First, the specs…

Once again, I’m going to refer to the sales page to copy/paste the specs, since they did a lovely write-up and it’ll ensure that I don’t forget any important details: Continue reading “Vape Review: Eleaf iCare 160 All in One”

Vape Review: OSUB Plus 80W Kit by Smok

Smok Osub PlusHey, Everyone!

It’s time for another vape review!

I really took my time getting to know this one. I’ve had it for about two weeks, and, I’ll be honest: It’s now my MAIN mod. No joke. I love it.

I guess you can stop reading right there, if you like. Haha. You already know where this is going…

Once again, I got this mod via Vape NW at a supreme discount. So big thanks to them! They’re not officially sponsoring me in any way, but I love them and gotta give props where it’s due.

Once again, I’m going to copy/paste the specs for this mod from the sales page over on Vape NW, since they did such a primo job writing it up: Continue reading “Vape Review: OSUB Plus 80W Kit by Smok”

REVIEW: Smok Stick V8 Baby

Alright! *cracks knuckles* Let’s do this!

This is my first-ever vape mod review, so please bear with me as I get my bearings. I’ll try my best to be as detailed as possible!

First of all, I received the Smok Stick V8 Baby from Vape NW at a supreme discount. They have good stuff. You should check them out. 🙂

This thing is BRAND NEW, so I wanted to review it right away. There are pretty much zero reviews for it on the market yet. So I’m pretty pumped to be one of the first.

Since Vape NW already did a good run-down of the specs on their site, I’m just going to go ahead and copy/paste that right here: Continue reading “REVIEW: Smok Stick V8 Baby”

Vaping Slang from A to Z

Hey, Everyone!

A few of you have asked me what vaping even is.

Basically, you’re “smoking” flavored steam with a vape device. You can vape with nicotine or without, but, even with, it’s better than actually smoking because it doesn’t have all the other crap in it that “real” cigarettes have (formaldehyde, rat poison, etc.).

Long story short: I use vaping to literally blow off steam when I’m stressed.

But here are some other terms you might want to know if you decide to get into vaping as a hobby/lifestyle:

ADV/All Day Vape: A vape juice which is ideal for vaping all day. (Personally, I like Stix).

APV (Advanced Personal Vaporizer): A number of people in the vaping community feel the word “electronic cigarette,” and its connotations with smoking, is unfortunate. Advanced Personal Vaporizer is one of a number of terms used to describe a person’s vaping device.

Amps: Short for ampere, a measure of electrical current. Vape batteries are measured in milli amh hours (1/1000 of an ampere).

Atomizer or Atty: The electronic component that turns your vape juice solution in your vape into vapor. However, more people are starting to use the word “coil” to mean the same thing.

Bridge: A covering over the atomizer in some coils. Continue reading “Vaping Slang from A to Z”

Welcome to Lauren Vapes

Lauren VapingFirst post! First post! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Welcome to Lauren Vapes!

You may have noticed that I already posted four articles. Those were actually originally written on my personal site, but I decided to transfer them over here just so you guys would have something to read other than a “welcome” post.

Some of the articles are pretty solid. I like the one about “Everything You Need to Know About Vaping.” That’s a good one to show your pals who don’t quite “get” your vaping hobby. Or, worse, speak negatively of it. I did my research on that one, and it shows. Continue reading “Welcome to Lauren Vapes”

37 Flavors of Vape Juice: Reviewed!

magicvapeHey, Everyone!

Since I’ve been vaping for a while now, I thought it might be fun to share some of the flavors of juice I’ve bought!

Thus far, I’ve bought 37 different flavors of juice and I’ve reviewed them all (in no particular order) below.

Most of these juices are made in California and might not be available in all areas; however, most of the manufacturers are willing to ship out of state — so ask your local vape shop to look into them if I mention a flavor you’re interested in. 🙂

Without further ado, here are my mini vape juice reviews:

1. Stix

This is my absolute all-time favorite. This is typically my All Day Vape (ADV). It’s a sweet strawberry wafer flavor that tastes like strawberries on the way in and sweet cookies on the way out. The flavor is just intense enough to give you a consistent yummy taste in your mouth, but mild enough that it doesn’t become overpowering or tiresome.
